Bowman, others to speak on Jehovah’s Witnesses at Midwestern Seminary
Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary is hosting an interfaith witness workshop on Friday and Saturday, October 12 and 13, 2007. Workshop sessions will run all day Friday from 9 am to 8 pm with breaks for lunch and dinner, and Saturday morning from 9 am to noon.
The speakers include Midwestern president Phil Roberts, Tal Davis and Rob Bowman of the North American Mission Board, and Paul Blizard, a former Jehovah’s Witness who is now pastor of Memorial Baptist Church in Beckley, West Virginia. Both Roberts and Davis were at one time part of what is now called the Apologetics & Interfaith Evangelism department of NAMB, where Bowman is currently serving as manager.
The workshop is free and open to the public. Midwestern is located at 5001 North Oak Trafficway, Kansas City, MO 64118. For more information on the speakers and the workshop, as well as contact information, see the seminary’s news release about the event.
