Bowman to speak at Liberty University

The International Society for Christian Apologetics, whose members include Norman Geisler, Gary Habermas, Ravi Zacharias, and many other noted apologists and scholars, will hold its annual conference on June 6-7, 2008, at Liberty University. Rob Bowman will be presenting twice. His first presentation will be on “John 10:30 and the Shema: New Evidence that Jesus Claimed to Be God.” His second presentation is entitled “Gospel Smackdown: Comparing the Canonical and Noncanonical Gospels.” Ergun Caner, Gary Habmermas, Bill Honsberger, Fred Smith, and Don Veinot are just a few of the scheduled speakers. Other topics include Islam, Scientology, Wicca, Hinduism, Buddhism, Oneness Pentecostalism, the problem of evil, the emerging church, and much more. Rob Bowman on KKLA radio and HisChannel.com tonight

Rob Bowman will be a guest on the Living by the Word radio program tonight, Sunday, November 18, from 10:00 pm to midnight (Pacific time). The program is hosted by Brian Allen of Living by the Word Ministries and Craig Hawkins of the Apologetics Information Ministry. You can listen live in the greater Los Angeles area at KKLA 99.5 FM, or from anywhere on their web site or at HisChannel.com. They will be discussing the book Putting Jesus in His Place: The Case for the Deity of Christ. This is a live, call-in radio program, so you can call Rob with your questions! You can also listen to archives of the broadcast at a later date.

Bowman, others to speak on Jehovah’s Witnesses at Midwestern Seminary

Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary is hosting an interfaith witness workshop on Friday and Saturday, October 12 and 13, 2007. Workshop sessions will run all day Friday from 9 am to 8 pm with breaks for lunch and dinner, and Saturday morning from 9 am to noon.

The speakers include Midwestern president Phil Roberts, Tal Davis and Rob Bowman of the North American Mission Board, and Paul Blizard, a former Jehovah’s Witness who is now pastor of Memorial Baptist Church in Beckley, West Virginia. Both Roberts and Davis were at one time part of what is now called the Apologetics & Interfaith Evangelism department of NAMB, where Bowman is currently serving as manager.

4-Day Deity of Christ conference in Lilburn, Georgia

Maranatha Baptist Church in Lilburn, Georgia (a suburb east of Atlanta), will be hosting a Bible & Missions Conference, October 7-10, 2007. The conference theme is “Telling the World Who Jesus Really Is.” The conference schedule is as follows: Sunday, 9:30-Noon, 6:00-7:15 pm; Monday-Wednesday, 7:00-8:15 pm. Rob Bowman will be speaking at all five sessions, along with four missionaries. This conference will provide one of the most indepth seminar series on the deity of Christ that we have done, covering all five areas of the evidence treated in our book Putting Jesus in His Place. The conference will focus on the relevance of the deity of Christ to missions and evangelism.

Defending the Truth in Denver - October 6

Calvary Chapel South Denver is hosting the Defending the Truth Conference on Saturday, October 6. Speakers include Gary Habermas, Rob Bowman, and William J. Federer. The conference runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and includes a panel Q&A session.

Rob Bowman to speak in Pensacola

 

I will be speaking at Olive Baptist Church in Pensacola, Florida, this Sunday, September 23, from 3:45-7:00 p.m. The topic will be, “What Jehovah’s Witnesses and Mormons Believe about Christ,” putting those beliefs in the context of the history, doctrines, and practices of these religious groups. The workshop will include a period of questions and answers. The church is located at 1836 E. Olive Road in Pensacola, half a mile north of I-10 at the corner of Davis Highway.
